Last December (2015) during the Christmas carol singing and the Christmas cake cutting ceremony at Bulange (Buganda Government Parliament) Ssabasajja Kabaka came personally to offer a piece of Christmas cake to Omuk Navtam Gosai, D/Chief of Kampala Central (Masekkati) Gombolola. Omuk Gosai he has never experienced or even heard that the Head of the Monarchy would serve his subject and in doing so he has gone a step further in setting an example to other Monarchies worldwide as how to respect the loyal subjects. Omuk Gosai was greatly humbled and responded 'Ssabasajja Kabaka Awangaale' (Long Live the King).   

Navtam Gosai was 8 yrs old when he arrived first time in Uganda from India to join his father who was in Uganda since 1928. Having completed his education, services in accountancy and some business ventures, he left for the UK in February 1971 for political reasons. In October of the following year, President Idi Amin asked all Asians to leave Uganda. 

Navtam Gosai was involved with Dr Dhani Prem of Standing Conference of Asian Organisations and the Chairman of Race Relations Sir Mark Bonham-Carter in the mid-70s. He has been involved with various publications in the UK as an editor and the publisher and at the same time running and financing the long term care sector.

On his return to Uganda, he is greatly involved with the social activities and was the founder Chairman of Overseas Friends of Bhartiya Janta Party (OFBJP) and has been appointed as D/Chief of Kampala Central Gombolola of Buganda Kingdom.   

At the request of one of his mentors, Shree Vijay Jolly Ji, the senior BJP Leader in New Delhi, India Navtam Gosai has accepted the position of President/Chairman of Friends of India - Africa to improve social, cultural and commercial values between India and the African countries.
